Grateful Thursday

Wow do the weeks go fast. I can hardly believe that it is Thursday again. Time to take some time to think about what I am grateful for:) There is so much but here are a few that stand out in my mind at the moment.

I am especially grateful today for my friends Kami, Alicia, and Joanna. I have many great friends and I am grateful for all of them but this week each of these ladies has touched my life in very specific ways.  Some without even realizing it.  They have been an inspiration to me and challenged me and prayed for me and been fun to talk to and fun to be with, and have shown me what it means to have faith in the middle of really painful circumstances and have cared about me in the middle of their really busy lives - what more could I ask for?

I am grateful for crumbs.  They keep me humble.  They remind me that sometimes the hardest place and time to be who I ought to be, and want to be, is at home doing life with the people closest to me. (for me that is where the "real me" comes out the most)  Sometimes I don't like what that real me looks like - but when it is out I have the opportunity to deal with it and overcome.  And there are patterns in my life that I long to overcome - so bring on the crumbs.  Thank you Jesus for the promise of being my strength to overcome - even those things that run so deep.

I am thankful for flip flops.

I am thankful for my health.

I am thankful for all of the green I see around me now.  I miss it during the winter.  They say green has a very calming effect.  It is my favorite color!

I am very thankful for the early mother's day gift that came from my hubby.  As a rule we have not done much for mother's / father's day but this year he surprised me with a new camera!! I very much enjoy taking pictures but don't really know what I am doing.  Well I am going to be putting some effort into learning because this is a REAL camera.  I went to the library and checked out Photography For Dummies.  I like learning about new stuff like this so it will be fun and hopefully before too long I will know what aperture, compression, exposure, ect. mean in relation to taking a picture!  Thank you Jose!!!
