How Time Flies

It has been two weeks now since I have written a post. Not for lack of desire. It has been busy, and fun, and crazy, and tiring, and you know what I mean. Juanita and Alicia, Isaac, and Emma were here for a few days last week and that always proves to be a good time! Alicia, the ever productive one, insisted (despite my lack of enthusiasm) that we work on the chair covers for our living room chairs that have been a work in progress for the last year. I am sooooooo excited that they are finished and feel 100% better about the chairs and the whole room now. They look great. I never could have finished them on my own. THANK YOU ALICIA!!

Grandma and Luis

Jose and I also had the opportunity to attend a weeding last weekend. I enjoyed the whole event very much. We could really tell by everything that went on the desire this couple has to honor the Lord. It was a purposeful event that was also a great bunch of fun to watch.

Kala and Jorden

I was feeling a great need this week to spend some time focusing on my kids and doing something that revolved around them. Yesterday Kami and I took the kids to Walborn, had a picnic and let them play on a little beach there. We all enjoyed the sunshine, food, company, mud, and fun.

Kaydri and Iliana

DOUBLE TROUBLE!!

Making one of her creations.

Anyone want some? I think it was a cake or something.

She ALWAYS has to follow suit.

Cool Dude

He was soo good but finally dropped off.

By the end the kids had painted them selves in clay/mud. We rinsed them off in the lake and came home to much needed baths! Too much fun!!

I have been learning some things about brokenness these last few weeks. The letting go of pride and realizing in and of myself I am powerless to change or grow. Reaching out to Him for the strength to overcome and live with purpose and wanting to live a life of dependence on Him - all after I allow Him to break me, give up my "rights"... It is painful at times but oh so worth it!

  1. Hey Kelley, thanks for stopping by to say hello!

I had to smile when I saw the link here to resolved2worship...because this past spring when I took Alicia to her site she thought of YOU! Yes. Her unique creative style and abilities are reminiscent of yours!

I love seeing the photos of your kids...too cute... and reading about your weekend...but most of all, how you share your heart. I can relate to brokenness and the daily minute to minute dependence on Him...thanks for sharing...

    Blessings!
