Spring Picnic

After a few weeks of rainy and colder weather Thursday, Friday, and Saturday were beautiful!! Jose had to work until about 3:30 on Saturday but I promised the kids that when he got home we would go to the park for a picnic. The girls wanted it to be a "fancy" picnic so after doing a bit of running and chores we spent time getting ready for our outing. We packed the good dishes, the tea pot, ect. No, no paper and plastic for us. And yes the picnic basket weighed a ton!!

The cupcakes were the most special part of the meal!

After eating we set off on a hike.

Not too much green yet. Soon!!

After all of our eating, hiking, ect. we came home, quickly put everything away, gave the kids baths, and ended the evening with sparklers. Marcia was funny. That girl has NO inhibitions. It was a wonderful spring picnic!

  2. I appreciate your comments on what you think about controls your actions and reactions to the people you are with the most. Philippians 4:8 tells us what we should be thinking. Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. Sometimes that is so hard to do when things don't go the way WE planned.
