Bosserman and Miller Families

Two years ago Jose and I began sponsoring a child through World Vision. No big deal I thought - and we have yet to miss the thirty dollars it costs us every month. I had no idea how sponsoring would open my eyes to how children around the world are suffering. World Vision sends out a small magazine every quarter describing different places they are working, the children they are helping, ect. Anyway through this magazine my heart has been burdened so much for Africa and the suffering there.

Ok, now stick with me here. It is going to seem like I am totally changing the subject here but for me right now these thing are closely related.

I have had, over the last few years, many people close to me adopt. At first I was happy for them, especially for my friends who were not able to have children of there own, but also for these children who would now know the security and love of forever families. I am here to say that through coming to more of a realization of how people in other parts of the world live and how so many children are NOT being given what they need - I am now passionately excited for them and about adoption!

Which beings me to the point of this post. This week is a very important week in the lives of two families I know and love who are adopting. They are on my mind and in my prayers a lot. John and Alicia are waiting, and have been waiting, for a referral. They are so ancious to see the face of their next child. I am praying that this week they will be blessed with this opportunity. Also for Greg and Joanna. Lord, please give them some travel dates this week. They are so ready to love on their babies!! For both of these families give them strength for the journey.

Isaiah 60

¹ "Bosserman Family, Miller Family, get up and shine,
because your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord shines on you.
² Darkness now covers the earth;
deep darkness covers her people.
But the Lord shines on you,
and people see his glory around you.
³ Nations will come to your light;
kings will come to the brightness of your sunrise.

People are gathering and coming to you.
Your sons are coming from far away,
and your daughters are coming with them.

you will be excited and full of joy,
because the wealth of the nations across the seas will be given to you;
the riches of the nations will come to you.

I am soo excited to see God work in the lives of these families and children. May He get the glory!!
